Agriturismo il Bacucco

The yard is my favorite part, with room to relax and eat, and the big pool has plenty of space for sunbathing. Sante and his family keep it very clean. I've been to Il Bacucco several times, first 10 years ago and most recently in June 2023, and every stay has been so good that we keep returning. Sante, Hayat, and their family are kind and welcoming, always ready to help, and they speak English and French. You can rent the whole house for a family or one appartment for a couple. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped, and the rooms are comfy. The house is in quiet, beautiful surroundings. Marche has lovely landscapes and cute villages, and in my opinion it's the place to go instead of Tuscany if you want the true Italy experience without all the tourists. People are very friendly. From here you can visit Corinaldo, Urbino, Grotte di Frassasi, and Conero park, with its great beaches. There's delicious wine at the Moncaro winery, a supermarket within a 10-minute drive, and a very good pizzeria in Montecarotto-town, 2 minutes away. They also have 3 e-bikes you can use to explore the area and enjoy the view.

We were a family of 7 and had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful and clean, and we especially loved the very big pool. The surroundings are so pretty, and the beach is about 30 minutes away. Sante was very kind, took us to several gorgeous places, and was always someone we could ask questions.

I've stayed at Agriturismo il Baccuco three times, most recently in February 2023. The first two trips were with groups of seven family or friends, and the latest was a couples trip with my spouse. Sante and Hayat's hospitality keeps bringing us back on the long journey from Ottawa, Canada to this beautiful, peaceful spot. They go out of their way to help guests. They live in nearby Montecorotto, so they can quickly help with whatever you need, from advice on villages and festivals to where to buy fresh truffles in season. The house is clean and well equipped for cooking Marche's fresh local food. There's a large gas range in the kitchen, plus a wood burning oven and charcoal barbecue outside. The main floor has a large bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. The heating works well, and we stayed toasty warm in February. It's a lovely place for running or cycling, with road bikers going along the hilly roads all year, even in February. Il Baccuco focuses on sustainability, with ebike chargers and electric car charging on site. Sante and Hayat are happy to show visitors their olive trees, which they use to make oil, their sustainability kept grape vines, and their large vegetable garden. Their farm fields are also sustainability kept to absorb rain and preserve topsoil and soil health. I'm always amazed by the natural beauty and by their focus and dedication to continually improving hospitality. Thank you, Sante and Hayat!

The pool and garden are enchanting, and the farmhouse is surrounded by nature, just right for people like us looking for peace. The owners take such good care of their guests, while still letting us enjoy the property freely and quietly. Highly recommended for a peaceful break in nature.
