They wouldn't let us go out for a drink or put on some music.

Breakfast was served at another establishment, and there was very little to choose from, with poor quality food. The room was so cramped it was nearly claustrophobic. Its air conditioning was dated, the bed was really uncomfortable, and the third bed was wedged against the wall in an unsafe-looking state. I'll leave the friendliness and parking out of it.

Being near the city center was convenient, but this place doesn't feel like a 3-star hotel. The rooms were very clean and room service did a thorough job. Reception staff spoke English very well. The food, though, was awful, more like something from a youth hostel, and even the plates looked unappealing. There was black hair in the food, which made it close to disgusting. The bathroom fittings were dated and didn't work properly.

The lovely glassed-in veranda stood out, and the staff were very friendly and willing to sort out problems. Food was mixed, though breakfast was better, and the dining room feels too small when the hotel is full. It's quiet and discreet, centrally located but away from the busiest spots. The furnishings are somewhat dated, and the rooms don't all seem to be at the same standard. Three stars feels about right.
