We had a group dinner here and it was good. I stayed with a large group, and the hotel met a decent standard for our two nights. It's a typical Italian hotel from the 80s, with dated decor but some character. Nothing fancy, but clean, and the bedrooms were clean too, with new mattresses. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. Of the 25 rooms our group used, only one AC unit didn't work well enough to cool its room properly. The area around the hotel is beautiful and quiet in the evenings. A good choice for a student group.

Dinner was fresh and had a wide selection, though the service was very slow. Breakfast choices were limited. The hotel felt tired, but it had the facilities we needed for our school trip. Everything was clean and the beds were made each day, but the towels were so thin and absorbent hardly at all that I'd bring my own. Staff were friendly every time we spoke with them, and reception was staffed around the clock. It's a reasonable walk to local supermarkets and the town square.

The staff were unkind, and breakfast could run out of food, leaving you waiting a long time for more. Sometimes the hotel door is locked in the middle of the day, and you have to wait ages for someone to open it. The walls are hollow, so you can hear guests several floors above. I recommend avoiding this place.

We booked 25 rooms for a student group, and the rooms were clean. Despite earlier posts, we didn't find bed bugs or rats. One AC unit wasn't working right. Management couldn't fix it, and when we asked to move rooms, they said no. That was our only problem with the hotel. The location wasn't great, with some rundown or falling-down buildings nearby, but we never felt unsafe.

There's a really unpleasant smell and a strange feeling about the place. It looks very run down, and it doesn't seem especially hygienic.
