Villa Rita Cilento

Mornings at Villa Rita in the Fabbricatore Park in San Nicola a Mare were all birdsong, the distant sea, and the scent of the huge pine forest around the park. There’s greenery everywhere, with so much quiet and calm. After a year of intense work, we came looking for a few days of real rest, and found a perfect oasis in the heart of Cilento. We spent wonderful days close to nature, in a place that carries the most authentic memories of Cilento. Antonella, the owner, was welcoming and paid attention to every request. The apartment was clean and tidy, with all the comforts, including air conditioning. It’s a peaceful spot that’s great for relaxing. The uncrowded beach and beautiful sea are under 200 meters away, and you can get there on foot or by car, with free parking. We had a perfect stay!

The owners are friendly and always available, and the atmosphere is welcoming without being intrusive. Set in a private park among the famous Ripe Rosse pine forest, the residence has apartments with all the conveniences for a comfortable stay. It’s particularly suited to families with children and longer visits. We felt at home and had a wonderful holiday, couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommended.

The nearby beach is small and pebbly, so we had to travel each day to get to the very beautiful beach at Acciaroli. The sea is clean, and I saw some beautiful, scenic places in Cilento. But my week at Villa Rita ended with disappointment. I’d been drawn in by the Google photos and had first contacted Giorgia, who was very kind and answered all my questions. On arrival, though, the outdoor areas looked neglected and weren’t well kept. The apartment was cute, especially the bathroom, but there were no mosquito nets. The bedroom wardrobe was old and unusable because of its musty smell. I regret not using any of the outside space, since it was really uncomfortable.
