Bellavigna Country House

Really beautiful, with clean modern rooms and stunning mountain views. The staff were relaxed and respectful. The village pool has a great choice of beer and spirits, too. Bellisimo!! I'll be back next year.

A cosy place in the Italian countryside, close to the small town of Montefalcione. The rooms have a peaceful feel, and there's plenty of parking on the property. The service was excellent: they answered all my questions, made check-in and check-out easy, and gave me a useful town map and guide with churches, restaurants, bars, shops, and other key spots. Breakfast was a surprisingly good spread, with breads, croissants, jams, butter, fruit, cereal, and cold cuts, plus juice, coffee, milk, and tea. There's a small bar by the pool serving snacks and drinks throughout the day if you don't feel like going into town. The pool is shared with the community rather than private, and bathing caps are required, though they're supplied. A few small issues kept this from a full five stars, but considering the price, location, and overall feel and service, it's still an excellent choice. The WiFi was unreliable, with several separate networks like wifi1, wifi2, wifi3, etc., which should really be unified. Some areas of the room, including the phone and light fixtures, were dusty. The showerhead didn't spray evenly, and the bathroom door wouldn't lock. The roads up to the house are steep and narrow, so drive slowly and keep a foot on the brakes, especially around turns where you could meet another car. The pool not being private and requiring bathing caps is also worth knowing.

The receptionist was super friendly, and the place was really nice, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast had a good continental selection...
