A lovely hotel with a pool in a great spot between Assisi and Spoleto. The staff are friendly, the local wine blend of Merlot, Sagrantino and Sangiovese is tasty, and it's well suited to families with kids. The restaurant serves plenty of local dishes, with generous portions.

We used this as a base for exploring Trevi, Assisi, Spello and other lovely towns, though you do need a car. The family who runs it is so welcoming and always ready to help, nothing feels like a bother. Our room was spotless and had its own little ground-floor terrace. It’s a charming family place near the hilltop town of Montefalco, right in the Umbrian countryside. We’d happily stay again. Grazie Danielle and family 👪

My girlfriend and I stayed here because it’s well placed for getting to the nearby towns. Sadly, the rooms let the place down. There are no windows, just the main door, so they get very little light or fresh air. A musty smell lingered, and the attic where you sleep was damp. The air conditioners had cobwebs and gave off an unpleasant smell when switched on, as they seemed poorly maintained. The place itself has a lot going for it, which makes that disappointing. At €94 a night, it also seems expensive for a 3-star hotel.
