The suite was bright and spacious, with everything described, and the owner was kind and always available if anything was needed. The place is stunning and very quiet, with a breathtaking view of Lake Bolsena. The large pool was spotlessly clean.

Daniela, the owner, was a pleasure to chat with and always had great advice. The rooms are very comfortable and have everything you might need, and I'd recommend getting one with a lake view. The stunning view of Lake Bolsena greets you, and on a hot day there's a large pool to cool off in. Highly recommended.

A couple of things to plan for: there’s no air conditioning, which could be uncomfortable in the hottest months, and you’ll need transport to get to the center of Montefiascone. Ask the owner for restaurant suggestions, and book ahead in high season. Agriturismo Specchio del Lago is a historic building renovated with taste. The rooms have period furnishings and are clean and comfortable, and there’s a pool with an enchanting view. It’s quiet and panoramic, just minutes from Lake Bolsena, with free Wi-Fi and parking. The owner is helpful and kind, the property is well maintained, and the atmosphere feels welcoming, whether you’re a couple or a family. We spent two nights in the Olivo apartment. It's charming and has all the comforts we needed. No breakfast is included, but there’s a coffee machine with pods, plus tea if you don’t drink coffee. Daniela was friendly and helpful, and shared lots of ideas for places to visit and restaurants where we could try local lake fish. We didn’t use the pool. The farmhouse has a lovely lake view, though it’s out in the open countryside, so it may not suit anyone who dislikes that setting.
