Fonte Pecorale

We keep coming back because we love it. This is our 12th vacation at Fonte Pecorale, and over the years we’ve stayed in all three apartments. They’re spotless and well cared for, with practical, fully equipped furnishings that feel right for the region. Bed linen and towels are changed regularly, and if you’re missing a kitchen utensil, the host is happy to help. The hosts live on site and are always friendly and attentive. They send clear directions ahead of time and can be reached by phone if anything comes up. It’s a peaceful mountain hideaway, just the place to get away from everyday stress and relax. We’re here again in August 2020, despite the pandemic. A heartfelt thank you to Esther and Friedhelm for welcoming us back this year. We’ll return for three weeks in 2021. It’s always so beautiful here. 😁

The apartments are very well furnished, and there are shops and restaurants nearby. The setting is lovely too, with quiet all around and breathtaking nature. You can watch the sun rise over the sea from the terrace, then see it set behind the mountains at the back of the house. A holiday here gives you both the sea and the mountains, along with such warm hospitality.

That huge new pool is a great addition, with views of the mountains and sea in any weather. We’ve been coming here for years and still love returning. The owners are kind and helpful, and the dog is so sweet, especially for an animal lover like me. We always have a fantastic time here.

Clean accommodation, lovely scenery, and friendly hosts, all away from mass tourism. If you want a relaxing stay, this is the place. It deserves an extra star if one were available.
