I Sassi Di San Giuseppe

Lovely place, lovely people.

Booking a farmhouse means being ready to adapt a little, but people who pay for a stay still expect the rooms to match what was advertised and paid for, along with a certain level of attention. The kitchen, where meals are eaten, has large windows with only small curtains, so there’s little privacy. There’s no closet for clothes, just a small box with an IKEA curtain. Mosquito nets are poorly fitted to only one window, and keeping the bathroom or kitchen windows open risks letting in lots of mosquitoes. The toilet flush doesn’t work properly, and some appliances are dated. The apartments could use more frequent maintenance.

Fernando is a very friendly host who offers lots of tips on things to do nearby, restaurants, cozy villages, and places to park. The rooms are a good size and have a decent wardrobe, and the beds are perfectly adequate. There’s a comfortable sofa and TV in the living room for evenings, and a great kitchen for making meals. On sunny days, the lovely pool is there if you’re tired of the beach. This authentic agriturismo has a unique setting and a beautiful view of the Le Marche mountains. Its location is beautiful and reasonably central for what you need. A perfect place to unwind in real Italy.

We were glad to return to the "I Sassi di San Giuseppe" farmhouse. The welcome and organization were just what you’d hope for, with a refreshing pool, green space to relax, and rooms kept impeccably clean. Thanks to Mr. Fernando for making our stay so pleasant.
