Hotel Terme Marconi

The hotel felt like a scam. I booked it for the pools, which were mediocre at best, and they cost extra (16€ per person per day). The whole place is dated and stinks really badly. Toilets don't flush well, and the rooms use heavy keys rather than key cards. The hallway lights are so dim you can't see the keyhole, and most of them don't work anyway. The women at the front desk were very angry and threatening.

I'd avoid this hotel. It's very dated and doesn't seem to have been updated in any noticeable way for decades. Most corridor lights don't work, so you're finding your room in near darkness. The room price was way too high, even with breakfast included, and the breakfast itself was very basic. You'd be much better off getting breakfast elsewhere, perhaps in the town not far away. On Booking.com, the listing led me to believe the pools were included in the room price, but they aren't. They cost 16 euro per person. I'm still wondering how long the mouldy smell will take to wear off. It's already been half a day.

There was plenty of room in the simple bedroom and bathroom, and I really enjoyed the food, especially the fantastic breakfasts and tasty dinners. The little train to Abano Terme was handy, and they played music for entertainment in the evenings. Drinks were well priced too.

We’ve stayed here many times with Family Nishiwaki, Dagi, Desi and Mike. The pool is huge, the menu has lots of choice and the food is excellent. Wine is reasonably priced, and everyone on staff is friendly and helpful. A great place to stay.
