We had a lovely stay in this beautiful building, and we’re planning to come back. The room and shower room were spacious and clean, and breakfast was tasty. The staff were friendly, there was safe parking, and pets are welcome. It’s also well located for continuing a journey.

The staff were so warm and friendly, and they clearly love animals. It felt like a lovely place for people and pets, children and adults alike. Our room was a dream, the food was great and the atmosphere was gorgeous. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return. We highly recommend this beautiful hotel, and the five stars are absolutely deserved. It’s one of the best places we’ve stayed on our many trips ❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant food was OK. The grounds, though, looked neglected. The park around the villa is spacious, but furniture was left in random spots and there was a broken trampoline in one corner. I didn’t use the pool because the water looked green and had a lot of debris in it. Our room was OK, but the bathroom needed cleaning. There was dirt and mold in the shower, the toilet was dirty, and the toothbrush glass was disgusting, as shown in the picture. Maintenance and cleaning throughout the facility were very poor.

We wanted a couple of quiet days by the pool and in the park, but this wasn’t a place where we could relax. We left a night early. The staff were nice and helpful, and the food was OK. The grounds were untidy, and the pool had debris, greenish water, and yellow stains around it. The hotel website photos gave us a very different impression. The place might be nice, but it seemed generally run down. The bathroom had been updated, yet it was disgustingly dirty. There was visible feces from previous guests in the toilet, and the shower looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks or months.

The quiet, pleasant surroundings and the polite receptionist, who spoke English well, were the good parts. The building itself is a real treasure and, we were told, 300 years old. But even with hot water, I don’t think the place was worth what we paid. We booked one night through booking on the day we arrived while travelling through Italy, for two adults. At first they put us in a family room made up of two connecting rooms and one bathroom. Each room had two single beds and was basic, which was fine since we hadn’t asked for more. The beds looked very narrow, and as we didn’t need four beds, we told the receptionist we’d be happy with a smaller room if they needed the family room. They moved us to a room in the older part of the building. It was on the first floor, with a door hidden in the staircase wall, presumably because of conservation requirements. You went down three steps to the room level, then on to the bathroom and a fairly large room with a double bed and a single bed. The bathroom fixtures were broken, and the small shower with plastic doors was very dirty. The double bed was uncomfortable and wobbly. The quilt had no cover, so it felt dirty, since you can’t expect the whole quilt to be washed every time guests change. There was a sort of vestibule at the entrance, but in the morning we could still hear ordinary conversation from the dining room downstairs. Breakfast was typically Italian, which we were used to, but the croissant was at least a day old and completely dry. A cat walked freely through the dining room and even climbed onto chairs, despite the sign at the entrance saying pets weren’t allowed. In the morning there was no hot water at all. I thought that deserved at least a discount, so we made a claim to booking. The hotel replied that the heating system had a major failure, and that was all. They even made it sound as if it was our fault because they were willing to let us stay a few extra hours while waiting for the hot water, but we had left before they fixed it. We were only there to sleep before continuing our trip. These things can happen, but when there’s a failure, you try to compensate the guest.
