The rooms were clean, and the house itself is historic, filled with old furnishings and valuable objects. But the stay was hard to justify at €100 each for three rooms, especially with shared bathrooms. We weren't even offered water when we arrived, and a bottle cost 50 cents if you were thirsty, which felt ridiculous. The towels were barely large enough to cover your face. Breakfast was the biggest letdown: packaged snacks and pastries, some stale, no fresh bread or homemade cake, and no juice. There was no oven to heat the sandwich bread or microwave to make tea. For savory food, the only choice was sandwich bread with Mio cheese. We were with friends on a Camino, and couldn't understand the positive reviews after comparing this with an inn in Pistoia, where we paid much less for an en-suite bathroom and a superb breakfast.

The view was incredible and we had a really pleasant stay. Laura gave us an epic, historic welcome, and she's an excellent host as well as a singer-songwriter. See you soon!

The village is enchanting, and the owner was great. We slept wonderfully and had an excellent view. The only drawback is that the place could use a makeover.

We had reserved parking, and the location was convenient. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable, and gave us a great history lesson. Best bed I've had all month.

The view is breathtaking, and the place has a wonderfully peaceful feel. The people are fantastic and welcoming. Rooms are beautiful and very clean, with antique furniture dating back to the 16th century, and the breakfast buffet is excellent. You have to see it to believe it.
