Agriturismo Il Gonzeto, Montepulciano

The infinity pool was a highlight, refreshing even in April. We also rented two electric bikes for 50 euro each. They were in impeccable condition and made it easy to get around the Tuscan countryside. Michael, the owner, was super friendly and helpful. We had an incredible time at il Gonzetto, with a wonderful stay, excellent breakfast, lovely rooms, and unique views all around. We'll definitely be back.

The breakfast was inedible and served without any generosity, and aside from the location, I can't say anything good about this expensive place. It offers no value for the price. The rooms weren't clean, and we were given only two small shampoo bottles that were meant to last two days. The room was cleaned just once every two days. The host was aggressive and violent in the way he treated arriving guests, and the owner was disgracefully stingy. He wouldn't accept criticism. When we calmly talked to him about his behavior, he threatened to call the police and throw us out. I've stayed in dozens of hotels around the world and never experienced hosts acting like this. You’ve been warned!!! I suggest anyone reading these reviews also look at the host's replies to guests here. I have recordings of how he treated us, for anyone interested. An absolute disgrace.

The grounds are beautiful, the room is spacious with its own outdoor area, and breakfast was decent. The owners were so lovely to our dog. It was colder than we expected, though that was out of anyone's control. You'll definitely need a car to get here. Fantastic place, highly recommended.

The view over the Tuscan valley outside Montepulciano is lovely, and the remote setting is quiet. The room was reasonably well equipped, but there were no luggage stands and very little clothing storage for a longer stay. The outside looked somewhat rundown and not well kept, though it was clean. The owner was pleasant enough, but wasn't always around and didn't engage much beyond asking how we were, which surprised me for a 'working farm' experience. Breakfast was a mixed bag. The posted 8-10am hours weren't followed consistently, and the selection didn't match what we'd had elsewhere during our 16 day trip.
