A great chance to try wines from Montepulciano’s small and medium producers. There’s a glass floor where you can look down at the ruins below, and the vista outside is wonderful.

Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the vineyard was a real treat. The property is impeccable, from its furnishings and comfort to the cleanliness and spacious rooms. The welcome was wonderful too. A lovely discovery in the countryside among the vineyards, with a special connection to nature, while still just minutes from the area’s beautiful sights.

Our hosts were very pleasant, and the pool was pretty and well designed. The kitchen was our one small disappointment, as it wasn’t very practical for cooking meals beyond breakfast. The setting is sublime, between vineyards and olive groves, in a beautiful building that’s ideally placed for visiting Tuscany’s hilltop villages.
