Casa di Bacco

A really good place.

Really liked this place.

Breakfast offered so much choice, and the service was well organized, with everyone kind and helpful. The rooms were huge, very clean, and comfortable, with a large, comfortable bathroom. It’s a lovely mix of country calm and comfort, while still close to nearby towns. We’ll definitely be back. You couldn’t ask for much better.

It’s a picture-perfect setting in the Tuscan countryside, with towns like Montepulciano, Pienza, and Cortona easy to reach. The property appears to have been converted from an old farmhouse. The furnishings are attractive and new, and the place was very clean. What ruined it for us was the complete lack of soundproofing between rooms. Our blue room shared a wall with another room’s bathroom, and we could hear everything as if there were no wall. Then the neighbors switched on the hot tub at midnight. The noise and shaking felt like an earthquake, with the walls and windows vibrating. I hope they fix this, because I wouldn’t come back or recommend it.
