We visited between Christmas and New Year's Eve, and the apartment was warm and comfortable even through very cold days. It had every comfort, a large, extremely comfortable bed, and an ideal location close to parking and just steps from the historic center. The windows look out over a beautiful valley. The spacious rooms are set at different levels, with one or two steps between them, and furnished with a thoughtful, sophisticated mix of antique and modern. Because it was raining, Mrs. Enrica kindly let us in before the scheduled 4:00 PM check-in, though only after some persuasion. That check-in time is admittedly a bit late. My only complaint was the shower: it has a central overhead head but no flexible arm, making it almost impossible to keep your hair dry.

A lovely, spacious apartment in the center of Montepulciano, inside a historic building. It's been renovated throughout with modern taste while still keeping its past in view. The old and new come together in a welcoming atmosphere without any fuss.
