The staff went out of their way to help with restaurant, tour, and winery recommendations, and booked those and taxis for us when needed. Breakfast was really nice, with plenty of choice and eggs and meat made to order. The location, right at the top of the hill in the main square, couldn't be better for walking to the town's major sights. Our rooms were huge, beautifully decorated, and very clean. We had an amazing stay in Montepulciano. We absolutely recommend it and will be back.

Valentina and the rest of the staff were so welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. They made sure everything felt perfect and gave us great restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. The pink room was stunning, and the breakfast was simple but just right to start the day. The location was ideal, and the whole stay felt like living as royalty back in the 1800s. I do wish the bed and pillow had been more comfortable, though they weren't bad. The bathroom also didn't quite match the rest of the room. Highly recommended, this place is a must!

Staying in this hotel felt like a real Italian experience. It's right on the main square in the heart of the village, inside a beautiful palazzo full of history. Even in a centuries-old building, the modern amenities are well integrated, so the stay was comfortable as well as authentic. Breakfast was incredible, and the staff took such attentive care of us. I highly recommend it.

The staff were extremely kind and welcoming, and breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed every moment and felt like nobility in a fairy tale, thanks to the amazing hospitality. I highly recommend staying at the enchanting Palazzo San Donato!

A special thank-you to Natasha and Yvona for their hospitality and for preparing a delicious breakfast every morning. We loved our week at Palazzo San Donato in Montepulciano. Everyone on staff was so helpful and welcoming. Gracie Mille to all of them. Our pink, or “princess,” room overlooked Palazzo Grande and was excellent. Valentina deserves a special thank-you for arranging and booking everything: cellar tours, a pasta factory tour, horseback riding, a cheese factory tour, two wine tours with lunch, a visit to Parco Villa Trecci, and dinner choices for the week. It was all perfect, and even the rain didn't keep us from exploring the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Porta di Bacco Osteria Enoteca, one of the Palazzo San Donato companies, is a must go. The decor, atmosphere, service, and food were top notch. Vi amiamo tutti e non vediamo l'ora di tornare 🥰.
