Stuart Apartments

That tucked-away garden behind the main building is a real gem, especially in a medieval town, and having somewhere to sit outside added to the stay. The apartments are in a lovely spot near shops and amenities but away from the busy areas, with exquisite views from the flat. I first stayed here with my family in 2016, when they were called Politian Apartments, and came back with my partner and children in 2020. Giacomo had refurbished the flats, with thoughtful touches like toiletries and complimentary wine. Everything was spotless, and Giacomo and Giovanna were wonderful hosts, ready with suggestions and answers. Definitely recommended.

The view was something else, and the apartment was clean and just right for my time at language school. Giacomo was so helpful whenever I ran into a snag, even offering to drive me to the grocery store on my first day. I’d happily recommend it and plan to stay again this year.

We loved the peace and quiet here, even though restaurants, shops, and pretty walks are right outside the apartment. The views were spectacular, and the flat was spotless with all the comforts that made it feel like home. Parking was across the road, and the entrance felt safe and secure. Giacomo and Giovanna were friendly, professional, and easy to reach for questions or local tips. The apartments are beautifully kept in the heart of Montepulciano’s historic center. Highly recommended!

I liked being able to cook breakfast and dinner, and Conad had most of the foods on my meal plan. The apartment had a medium-sized bedroom, a small living room, kitchen and sitting area, plus a bathroom with a shower and washing machine at the back. It sits right on Montepulciano’s tourist route, and the invigorating walks through this old Renaissance city start just outside. There’s a courtyard with lounge chairs and tables, too. The friendly owner, Giacomo, made me feel at home, and we invited him to dinner on our last night. He’s renovating a space for a breakfast cafe. It was a wonderful way to feel part of the community, and a great stay for anyone, especially a family.
