B&B La Vecchia Osteria

I was only passing through for work, but the area deserves a visit. Lake Campotosto and the mountains are about 30 minutes away, and L'Aquila is roughly 40 minutes away. For the price, this is the best value around, with many restaurants nearby. The recently renovated rooms are clean and modern, about 300 meters from the town center. Staff were very helpful, and there’s a dedicated garage for motorcycles and bicycles.

Mr. Claudio, the owner, was genuinely kind and courteous. The rooms were spotless, and the kitchen where breakfast is served was just as clean. It’s a peaceful spot, a short distance from Abruzzo’s beautiful cities, and excellent value for money.

We chose to have breakfast at the B&B, where the very kind and helpful owner left milk, yogurt, cereal, coffee, biscuits, and snacks. It was included in the price, and there was also the option of eating at the bar. My wife and I stayed one night during a motorcycle trip. Everything was new and clean, and the place itself was very nice. The only minor issue for me was that the bathroom was next to the room rather than inside it. My wife was bothered by having to go back and forth while other guests could come and go from their own rooms. I’d recommend the place and would stay again.

The owner offered us a parking spot and put fresh water in the fridge for us. The place is simple, welcoming, clean, and recently renovated. Towels in every size, hairdryers, and soap dispensers were provided. Breakfast is included, either there or at the bar. Thank you.
