Croce Di Malta Hotel

The best part of the hotel was what the staff did after I lost my wallet and passports. They returned them to me, and they couldn’t have been nicer. We still don’t know how I lost them, since my bag was locked, but I was so grateful. The hotel is near the train station and convenient for walking around Florence. The rooms were super comfortable. Don’t miss drinks on the roof at 4 PM, with a beautiful view of the area, including the Duomo. Breakfast had so many options and everything was delicious. It even made my egg-and-bacon-eating partner happy. Don’t hesitate to stay here.

The worn interiors around the lifts and stairwell stand out, and the rooms are a bit plain, though spacious and with a large bathroom. The hotel is centrally located near Santa Maria Novella, with easy access to the main sights and train station. Staff were excellent and very accommodating. A pool where you can relax for a couple of hours and a rooftop bar are nice bonuses in this location.

The rooftop bar has wonderful views, breakfast is good, and the downstairs bar, sitting rooms, and breakfast room are all good. Reception was friendly and efficient. The central location is handy, but rooms facing the street can be raucously noisy into the small hours. The rooms are shabby, under-furnished, and below standard, with too few power sockets and not enough storage. Bathrooms are so-so, though the air-con is OK.

The reception team at Hotel Croce di Malta made my stay comfortable and memorable. From the moment I arrived, everyone was welcoming, helpful, and ready to assist with a smile. I’m especially grateful for the reception staff’s kindness, attention to detail, and professionalism. Their service really made a difference, and I highly appreciate their efforts. I look forward to visiting again. Thank you very much.
