The host was very kind and helpful, and even let us keep the room until early Sunday afternoon after we made a very late request. But the room we found was far below a decent standard. The property may also have apartments, though I can’t say what they’re like. I hate leaving reviews like this, but people who work to provide a proper level of service deserve recognition, even for a one-night room booking. Our towels smelled of mold at first, then we found evidence of it. The blankets had a grimy film over them, there was a used tissue stuck behind the bed, and I don’t want to know how long the candy under the bed had been there. There was mold and dirt on the walls, no shampoo or shower gel, dirty floors, and cobwebs.

Chiara is very kind and helpful, and gave us useful suggestions for nearby places to visit and restaurants. Her cooking is excellent, simple, and authentic. The estate is peaceful, surrounded by the Chianti hills, yet within reach of the main attractions. The rooms could become more comfortable if they were upgraded over time. I recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet stay in this area.

We spent three nights here with our daughter, who was just over a year old. The spacious “Miele” apartment had everything we needed, and the owners, who live downstairs, were kind and helpful. It’s an excellent base for visiting Siena and the surrounding area, and good value for the area. The garden and pool, though, were very poorly maintained. The grass was left to grow so much that some areas couldn’t be used, and the pool decking and the area around the loungers clearly need work. I understand this is a family-run agriturismo, but a hospitality business shouldn’t leave its outdoor spaces in that condition.

Chiara was very kind and gave us precious tips for hiking in the surrounding area. After a day out, the pool was a real treat. The farmhouse is beautiful in the Chianti countryside, with basic apartments that have everything needed for a relaxing holiday. The pets are super sweet, and the horses are beautiful. We’ll definitely be back!
