Our two-bedroom apartment had a very basic kitchen, an extremely uncomfortable living-room sofa, and a TV smaller than my laptop screen. There was also a really annoying sewage smell from the bathroom. The restaurant serves a daily menu that has to be booked ahead; I found the food basic and overpriced, and would suggest driving to the nearby town for much better food. Breakfast cost €10 per person and wasn’t included. We came in September, when it was too cold to use the pool, and the spa was being maintained, so we couldn’t use any of the facilities. It’s a family-run B&B on a hill with a beautiful view. Reaching it means driving several kilometers through forest on sharp turns. That was fine for us, though some people may not find the drive at night convenient.

The Roman baths weren’t available while we were there, which was the one real drawback. It’s a bit pricey, but we still thought it was worth it. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they can easily arrange a dinner reservation for you. The food was amazing. A nice choice for a family break or a romantic escape in the Tuscan hills.

The location worked really well for day trips and exploring nearby towns. We loved the sunsets and the views, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The villa suited our family of five perfectly, and we had a wonderful time staying here in Tuscany. Thanks for being so hospitable. We’ll be back!

Dogs are welcome, which was great. Our Onda apartment had plenty of room and a terrace with a lovely view, and the pool was large and nice. We had excellent dinners and a really enjoyable stay. It’s a great base for the countryside, close to Siena, Firenze and the Chianti region. We’ll certainly return.

Even with our two little 4 and 6yo 'dragons' running about, we could really unwind here. The place has a special atmosphere that settles around you from the first day and lets you leave your worries behind. Being surrounded by nature, with exquisite food and a friendly feel, brought us real peace. There’s plenty to do within a 30 min drive. Thank you, Roberto and the whole team!
