Borgo Gallinaio 32 in Siena

We’d really like to return. This is a great place for a quiet, relaxed Tuscan vacation. Our room was clean and matched the description, while the garden and driveway were neatly kept. The restaurant was tidy and served delicious food. You could taste how fresh the ingredients were, and some even came from their own garden. It’s very well run.

The place is rustic but very comfortable, with fun staff and great food. I booked online without any trouble and got a reply quickly. It’s about a mile from Monteriggioni, the walled Tuscan castle dating from the 1200s. My wife and I would stay again in a heartbeat.

The suite’s quiet terrace at the back of the building was lovely, and the location itself was nice and peaceful. Breakfast was very good. But the restaurant was closed when we arrived, so we couldn’t eat on the property and weren’t offered an alternative. The suite kitchen didn’t work and had no dishes, so we couldn’t prepare anything ourselves. The bed was so poor that we had to switch rooms. The host wasn’t helpful, and was unkind at times, which led to a lot of arguing. We’d booked a suite with a living area, kitchen and bedroom all in one, plus a bathroom.

We stayed here for a wedding at Borgo Stomennano, and the location was perfect for it. The room was clean and spacious, and we loved having a patio terrace right outside the door. Fantastic Tuscan accommodation, highly recommend this hotel!
