The wine tasting came with several wines, but none was served as a full glass to have alongside lunch. The so-called ‘Light Lunch’ was really just a snack, so at €60 per person, we didn’t feel it was good value.

Angelita, the manager, made the tasting especially memorable. She explained the wines clearly, knew her subject inside out, and answered every question with real warmth and dedication. The lunch was delicious, too. What gives these wines their distinct character is the vineyard’s commitment to using only its own grapes. A magnificent experience. If you’re in Siena, treat yourself to this Tuscan gem. Cheers!

Everything went perfectly during our group wine tasting. The wines were high quality, and the guide was a real professional. Such a great experience, highly recommended!

The pasta was fantastic, and we got to try some of the best wine Tuscany has to offer. Our host was engaging and clearly knew her stuff, though I’m ashamed to say I’ve forgotten her name. I’m also not sure she appreciated my joke about whether they had any Valpollicella to take home. Sorry, that’s my English sense of humour. Must have been the wine! We didn’t stay at the accommodation, just came for lunch and a tasting. If you’re nearby and want a winery visit with food and wine, this is the place to book.

We were a group of six and booked at Fattoria Lornano that same day for the light lunch, short tour and wine tasting. It was a short and sweet visit, and worked well for our group, which didn’t know much about wine. The simple lunch was delicious, and we really enjoyed the Chianti wines. The bus tour route connecting Fattoria Lornano with Siena was a big reason we chose it. We’d come back!
