We were frustrated by how the missing fridge was handled. We asked about changing rooms or getting compensation, but only got vague replies that the manager would be told. We paid full price expecting the basic amenities to work, and hope the hotel improves its communication and service. The fridge in our room wasn’t working when we arrived, and we only found out after buying groceries and trying to use it. When we messaged the hotel, they said it was broken and wouldn’t be repaired until Monday. Nobody had warned us in advance. They suggested taking a key at reception and using the fridge in room 102, but it was already full of staff items and wasn’t suitable for guests. Our room was on the second floor, so going downstairs every time we needed something was inconvenient.

It’s quiet and just outside Siena, so it didn’t feel crowded. The view was nice and there was a big parking lot, making it a handy base for exploring Tuscany by car. Breakfast had a good range to choose from, though the Tartufone was our favorite, and we appreciated that it started at 7:30. The staff were attentive and nice. We really enjoyed staying here.

Quaint and idyllic, with well laid-out rooms, tasty breakfasts, and friendly staff who spoke and understood English quite well. It’s only a few meters from a bus stop, and the grocery store is walkable in good weather.

We had a pleasant breakfast onsite, and the staff were welcoming in the morning. Our room was comfortable, and going out for dinner nearby and returning later was easy. We were happy to find plenty of private parking, and the property was easy to locate. My family stayed at Villa Montarioso in Siena for one night at the start of August 2025. Beforehand, the host sent all the details we needed for contactless check-in, which helped since we arrived late. We’d definitely stay here again next time we visit Siena.

The view was beautiful, and the surroundings were peaceful. The rooms were clean, but the beds were hard. The bread and pastries at breakfast were dry. There were lots of stairs, and I didn’t notice an elevator.
