The rooms were comfortable and clean, and breakfast had a charming feel. Frederika was warm and welcoming to everyone at her lovely bed and breakfast in the Monterosso hills. Just know that it sits at the top of a steep hill, about a 10-minute climb up stairs and road. You’ll need to be reasonably fit.

A lovely breakfast and friendly, hospitable owners made this a really cozy B&B. After a long day hiking the Cinque Terre, the great water pressure felt especially nice. At checkout, Lori gave us a bottle of her homemade Limoncello, made from lemons in her garden. It was great, and I highly recommend the place.

The owners were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. It’s a great base for exploring the Cinque Terre, with a short walk into Monterosso for sights and food. Call ahead as you get close to make sure the gate is open.

The owner came out onto the street to wave us in, even though we’d only booked earlier that day. Afterward, they pointed out places to visit on a map, and breakfast the next morning was lovely. A really memorable stay.
