Santuario Nostra Signora di Soviore

The food was a highlight, especially the tuna steak, which was the best we'd ever had. Breakfast is continental, with plenty of sweet and savory choices. The coffee could be better, though you can get a proper one from the cafe. Staying in a sanctuary was a cool experience. The rooms are spacious and very simple, but have what you need for a comfortable night. There's also a bar and restaurant on site.

After walking the trail from Monterosso, we found a peaceful spot and a warm welcome here. The food and drinks are very reasonably priced, and the tirrasimu is delicious. We've come back each year for three years, and we're already looking forward to the next visit.

The food was perfect, and I had the best tiramisu I've ever tasted. We had a reeeally good time here. The atmosphere feels like another Italy, an older, quieter one without tourists or loud noise. The rooms are a bit retro, so don't expect five stars, but they're nice. We'll deffinetly come back :-)

The biggest drawback is getting into town. The free shuttle generally works fine, but if you want to come back after 6pm, or arrive after 9am and head out exploring that day, taxis at 25eu each way add up fast. The drivers also FLEW along the steep, winding roads, and some of us got quite motion sick. That said, this place is great value. The scenery and charming setting are beautiful, the rooms are spacious and very quiet, and we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner. Service was friendly and helpful.
