La Rosa Scarlatta

From the terrace at B&B La Rosa Scarlatta, you can see meadows, trees, hills, and mountains, with swallows passing overhead. Nature and the historic building come together beautifully here, and even the rooms have lovely details to notice. Stefania is a wonderful host who pays attention to what guests need. Monterubbiano was a lovely discovery, a beautiful, well-kept village with a refreshing breeze even when the coast was especially hot. We spent five days in the La Torre apartment, which is clean, comfortable, and has everything you need. The personal touches, from the books to the scented soaps Stefania left in the bathroom, made it feel like home. The view across the Marche hills is breathtaking, and the terraced garden is beautiful. Stefania is also very friendly.

Stefania gave us a warm welcome, and the apartments she’s decorated are like art galleries, full of beautiful antiques while still feeling comfortable. From the large terrace, you can see all the way to Mount Conero and watch the sunset paint the sky orange, pink, and purple. There’s also the scent of flowers and earth from the carefully tended Italian garden, which the owner enjoys looking after herself. The 17th-century building is in the lovely, welcoming village of Monterubbiano. A relaxing stay or a trip to the sea both work well here, with the coast just a few kilometers away and everything you need nearby.

The owner, Stefania, is friendly and kind, and the service is good. It’s a stately home with a park, and the rooms in the historic building are beautiful and well cared for. The park is a comfortable place to spend an afternoon relaxing with a book. Recommended.
