The only real plus was how quiet the area and building were. We were on the second floor of the guesthouse on Via Cervinara, Traversa d'Onofrio, and paid a lot for a stay that fell well short. The owner had said the heating would be on, but everything was off when we arrived. With the old wooden frames and thin glass, the place stayed cold. The kitchen heater was off too; she said the kitchen was warm enough anyway. We couldn't use the living room, so we were left with the kitchen, which had no TV, and a bedroom with just two blankets and a TV that got three channels. The front door was practically plywood, which didn't help. The bathrooms were dated, the water drained slowly, and one drain was blocked so that bathroom couldn't be used. The tiles were very old and the faucets had limescale. The elevator wasn't working because, the owner said, she hadn't paid the fee, and the apartment was practically on the third floor. The dishes were too dirty to use. I bought soap and washed at least two cups and two glasses myself. You can't just improvise as a manager, even for a short time. Two and a half stars.
