Breakfast alone would make the trip worthwhile. It’s served in the old brick-vaulted cellars and is a wonderful tour of regional specialties, all top quality. The owner serves it with real warmth and is an unforgettable host. I spent ten days here, and loved how carefully the place was put together. The old cement-tile floors are beautiful, and the owner’s eye for detail feels like the work of a professional set designer. Even the vintage stove and refrigerator in the kitchen are authentic and work perfectly. Everything, right down to the plates and ladles, is beautiful. A lovely choice if you enjoy travelling and finding somewhere authentic.

The chef prepares and serves breakfast with such warmth and hospitality that it feels like a regal experience. His desserts were so good I asked to take some with me when I left. Casa Briga is set in a charming hilltop village, with a quiet, authentic atmosphere. The retro-style apartment is furnished perfectly and feels like a step back in time. The location is stunning, the service friendly and professional, and the value excellent. I’d recommend a stay here to discerning travellers looking for something memorable.

Casa Briga is an ancient, elegant residence, with fine furnishings and finishes that make you want to linger. Its little “cantinetta” has a lovely rustic, antique feel, warm and welcoming. Chef and owner Franco serves refined food and drinks with delicious flavors.

Montesilvano Colle is an enchanting setting, and right in its heart is a place where taste and beauty are cared for down to the smallest details. The welcome is sparkling, the flavors are a treat. A must-see.
