Mediterraneo Resort

The highlight for my daughter was Elena from Kid's Club. She loves her, so we have to come back! We also met lots of friendly people through the Kid's Club and Animation Team, and came away with such good memories. The reception ladies spoke English well and were kind and helpful, and the restaurant staff were friendly too. We spent two nights at Club Esse Mediterraneo on a girls' trip with my 6-year-old. The room was bigger, cleaner, and more comfortable than I expected. Breakfast had all we needed, from cereal and omelette to fruit and pastries, though the coffee was just so-so. There was a large deep pool with sunbeds and a separate little pool for small children. Our sunbeds and umbrella on the sandy beach were assigned, and the sea was shallow, which was great for kids or anyone who can't swim.

We had a pool and ocean view from our room, which looked recently updated and was extremely clean and fresh. We booked the least expensive option that fit three people for an overnight stop, and would stay again at the same price. The English-speaking staff were a nice surprise. Breakfast was free, light, and had plenty of choices. We didn't use the kids program, and I only wish the pool had stayed open in the evening so our daughter could swim. Otherwise, no complaints.

Emanuela in the dining room looked after our dietary requests and helped us communicate with the chef. Maria from room service also did a really good job cleaning and making up the room. The reception team, especially Orsola and Pierluigi, were always smiling, quick to act on requests, and happy to hear suggestions. We stayed for two weeks for a chess tournament and were very pleased. The rooms were spacious and good, and the main reception area was great. We also loved the dining room's sea-facing views. A lovely hotel with the most cheerful, helpful staff.

The rooms get unbearably hot, which was my biggest issue. At night we had to leave the balcony door open, but room service would shut it while we were out, and then the room would be 100 degrees or more. There were no fans, and we couldn't turn on the AC because they said it was winter, even though it was 90 outside. The pool was closed too. Food was overpriced, with a mediocre buffet costing $25 per person. Never again. Save yourself the trouble, they don't care.
