Grand Hotel Montesilvano

The only good thing was the location. I was there for 10 days on a business trip, and it was a horrible experience. The rooms were old, cold, and dirty, with old windows that let the storm noise in all night. Staff were rude and aggressive. The manager and some restaurant staff shouted at guests almost every day. The food was awful. I found a fly in my meal, and they didn't replace it. Terrible hotel, and horrible people working there.

Some rooms are old, shabby, smelly, and have wallpaper peeling off. We pointed this out at reception, and they moved us straight away to a newly renovated room. After that, our stay was great. The staff were very helpful, and breakfast had a huge selection of sweets. We'll return.

The inside of the hotel feels dated, and the surrounding area is just a beach resort lined with hotels, restaurants, bars, and a few shops. There's not much else to see. The bedrooms were clean, and the staff were a big plus, very attentive, with some having that friendly, joking Italian manner. It's a fine, budget option for a large group business event by the beach. For something romantic or fancier, I'd look elsewhere.

Never again in my life. The place was old and falling apart, with dirty, broken rooms. The pool water was filthy, and a mattress had stains that looked like pee or blood. There was mold on the bathroom seat, no air conditioning outside the rooms, and no parking at the hotel. Ants were running around the shared kitchen for kids. There were only two elevators for hundreds of people, including hotel staff. The room kitchenette only partly worked and seemed to have an electrical short. The entertainment was bad.
