The rooms were amazing, though the service wasn't friendly.

The view is beautiful, and the sea is about a 15-20 minute walk away. Rooms are lovely and clean. Breakfast is generous but entirely sweet, with some homemade cakes. You can make coffee or pour yourself some water any time during the day.

The building itself is very nice, but it's not suitable for elderly care. There are lots of stairs and no elevator. The food is awful, poor quality, small portions, and all frozen. Residents are cold, and the beds are miserable camp beds with sagging mattresses. The healthcare workers do everything: cleaning, cooking, and giving injections. They also change treatments at their own discretion, without a nurse's consent. The director creates terror among the staff and seems to work magic with the diapers and other supplies. All this for the modest sum of €1,750. A terrible experience.

This retirement home is at Via Marmolada 19 in Montesilvano and deserves zero stars. From the staff to the manager, Mrs. Annamaria, there's a serious lack of expertise in elderly care and everything else. She shows no real respect or even basic politeness, formal or otherwise. What her closest and dearest relatives have been through there is beyond words, given the situation. It's hard to believe the home isn't up to standard in any respect. There is no elevator, the beds are like dog beds, the heating is almost always off, and animals are in the rooms and wandering around. The food is frozen, pre-cooked, and rationed to the absolute minimum. It could be a horror movie. There isn't a single nurse. The healthcare workers cook, clean, and do everything except provide even a basic level of professional medical care. Highly not recommended!
