I usually avoid leaving bad accommodation reviews, but the owner called Mr. Maximilian Reiter’s comment false and said he hadn’t stayed there. I’m sure Mr. Reiter did stay, based on the details he gave. We were there in 2019 and had the same experience. We were downstairs without air conditioning, but the room was cool enough. The house is in an okay location, though it could be better for such a beautiful region. The worst part for us was the “swimming pond”: the pool was filthy, the banks muddy, and there was nasty sludge. We couldn’t let our children swim there, and we saw rats. Montevarchi itself didn’t have much to offer, and wasn’t what we expected from this part of Italy. I expect I’ll be called a liar after this, but I’d advise against booking here.

Alessandra was extremely kind and always available. The apartment was comfortable and well furnished, with parking right in front of the property. The villa sits in the countryside, with lovely views and a bio-pool. Its location works well for trips to Florence, Arezzo, and the Chianti hills.

A quiet, spacious place surrounded by nature, suited to solo guests and couples, with family accommodation available too. There’s a private terrace and parking, plus a bio-lake with a relaxation area and hammocks tucked among the plants. It made a great base for exploring Tuscany. The studio has air conditioning, a double bed, a bathroom separated by a wall and door, a shower, sink, small gas hob, small fridge, TV, table, sofa, and a terracotta sink/dishwasher. The hosts are welcoming and very friendly, and offered tastings of their own produce. A simple, relaxing stay. Recommended.

We chose the villa because of the good reviews and photos, but the stay was disappointing. This was two years ago, and we may have been the first guests after the pandemic. The accommodation was dirty, with plaster coming away from the walls. The air conditioning stopped working for two days during 30-degree heat, and the toilet was blocked because of a house problem, not anything we had done. The swimming pond looked nothing like the pictures. It was green and full of algae, so swimming wasn’t possible. The hostess did try her best, but I don’t understand why guests were accepted in those conditions.

Alessandra was very kind. She arranged a comfortable crib for my 7-month-old baby and turned on the heating even though it wasn’t cold. We stayed just one night, as I’d picked this villa as a stop on my long drive from Salerno, especially so I could rest with the baby.
