Cardaneto Country House

Borgo Cardaneto is a charming place, well managed and in a great location. We stayed with friends from June 26th to 30th, 2025, and met the owner, who was kind and approachable and gave us excellent tips on places to visit. Mr. PIgi, the manager, was also wonderful, kind, and very helpful. Thanks to both of you for being so available to us. We’ll definitely return and highly recommend it.

Nunzia was really friendly, a top point of the stay. The exterior and location are beautiful, but the place wasn’t very clean, with cobwebs everywhere. The price felt exorbitant for the basic amenities. Breakfast was minimal, with supermarket products, and for that price I’d expect more sophisticated options. The rooms and breakfast area are decorated in a way I found tasteless, with mismatched furniture that doesn’t suit the lovely landscape. It seems to be going for shabby chic, but it doesn’t quite come together. The bathroom has just been redone.

In winter, it was lovely to start the morning by the wood-burning stove in the breakfast room, with the friendly and attentive owner keeping us company and making us feel like family. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh, authentic products, and the room was warm and relaxing. We stayed at this wonderful B&B farmhouse in an ancient village in Umbria. Its old houses, picturesque streets, and sweeping views over the hills give the place a special, magical feel, especially if you want peace and authenticity. The furnishings were carefully done, rustic without being rough, and the rooms were welcoming, well kept, and made us feel at home right away. We highly recommend it for anyone wanting to experience the authentic heart of Umbria. It would suit couples, families, or groups of friends in summer or winter. We can’t wait to return!

We were welcomed warmly by the caretaker and owners, who paid attention to what we needed. Borgo Cardaneto is enchanting, from the apartment to the whole property, and sits in a heavenly location. The finishes, colors, and furniture show wonderful taste. Beauty, courtesy, and elegance made for a lovely holiday. Highly recommended!
