The restaurant was a real highlight, and the pool is nice. The fake grass around the pool felt a bit strange, though. Showers had warm water, didn’t need tokens, and came with hand soap and toilet paper, all appreciated. But the campground needs better upkeep. Several toilets and showers were dirty and in poor condition, with some unusable because they were being used to store building materials. The nearby highway was disruptive, and a big group of campers kept yelling well past 11pm. Staff didn’t step in, so it was hard to get a peaceful night’s sleep.

The best part was watching a group of wild pigs come under the trees to forage around 7pm. The restaurant on site wasn’t open until June 1st, and there wasn’t a supermarket nearby that we could walk to. The site roads were very narrow, with a deep 10 inch ditch at the edge that made driving scary. We couldn’t get our 7.8m motorhome up the tight road to the next level to fill up because the water supply wasn’t working, so we had to use watering cans. The shower was barely warm, even though the site didn’t seem busy enough to have run out of hot water. The facilities block looked tired and wasn’t very clean.

We were very disappointed with our five nights on a camping pitch. The site felt rough and untidy. The pool was lovely, but the toilets weren’t cleaned for four days, and one small toilet was broken the whole time. We reported all of this. The local villages are lovely, though the site didn’t give us any information about them. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, and might have tried the bar if there had been one.

The staff are lovely and it’s peaceful here, and the restaurant food was very good. The site itself badly needs attention, though. It’s very dated, and the toilets and showers are dirty and old. The silicone around the shower bases is grimy, there’s no soap or hot water for showers or washing dishes, and there’s grime in the corners and up the walls. Loose tiles around the pool are dangerous, especially for young children. The handrails around the site are loose too, which is a serious problem for me because I need them due to a disability. We’re still staying here as I write this, and I’d only give the site one star. It desperately needs some care.

The staff were very helpful when we got stuck on the road because an olive tree needed trimming. The restaurant felt more like a cheap bar beside the main road, and some dishes weren’t available even though it was the middle of the season. The campground is worn out, with poorly kept pitches and a narrow, very steep road down through it. There’s deep drainage along the road, plus bumps and holes everywhere. The toilets are terrible, and look as if nothing has been done since the late 80s.
