The bed had a blood stain and hair on it, and there were someone else’s belongings in the closet. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Check-in was confusing because this is a self check-in and out hotel, but there were no instructions and nobody available to help or scan my passport. I understood that the passport was needed, but the host’s approach was completely unprofessional. I was working at an event with limited service and explained that, then sent my ID when asked. She kept demanding my passport without understanding the situation and threatened to call the police because my message wasn’t going through right away. I felt harassed. My Italian friend sent her a passport photo from his phone and called to confirm, and she was unbelievably rude to him too.

The atmosphere was great, and getting around was easy with the train station just three minutes away. Each room has air conditioning, and they top up the little boxes of essentials every day. 🥰

We were left out on the street at 1am after paying the full amount in advance and getting nothing back. We strongly advise against this place. The whole thing still feels unbelievable. We were two girls, and after taking our room we went out to dinner. When we came back, the owner had put her hands on our things and thrown us out of the room with our suitcases. The reason she gave was that we had entered using the code on the reservation and taken the keys from the table without calling her first. Nobody had told us to call, and the Booking confirmation said nothing about it. It looked like self check-in. It’s unacceptable to leave two people outside at 1am in that area. Shame on you! I arrived in Monza around 5pm and went straight to the hotel. I rang the buzzer, but nobody let me in. A woman with a child, who lived on the same floor, asked if she could help and brought me into the building. She came up with me in case nobody opened the door. I found a pin code in my reservation email and entered it, which opened the inside door. She saw that it worked and went back to her apartment. This “hotel” is basically a hostel, with no reception, receptionist, or other staff around. I waited about 40 minutes, without a phone, and there wasn’t a phone in the kitchen either. Then I noticed two envelopes with keys on a large table in the middle of the room. One had my family name on it, and inside was the room number. With no reception or employees, it seemed reasonable to think it was self check-in, as in plenty of places around the world. I left my things, showered, and went for a walk. After that, the woman who said she was the owner, though I still don’t know her name, called 17 times. She yelled that she’d throw my things out the window if I didn’t come back immediately, and said I’d entered her property without permission. I returned with two friends. All three of us were girls, and she brought a man along to scare us. She seemed completely out of control, with shaking hands, shouting and not letting us speak. I suppose she was on drugs because her behavior seemed so abnormal. While yelling, she wasn’t looking at me, but off to the side. She said she wouldn’t return my luggage unless I gave her the key. She admitted she’d handled my things, including jewelry, a laptop and lingerie, and stuffed them into my backpack herself. She threw the backpack, with the laptop inside, onto the sidewalk. I only got it back after saying I’d call the police if she didn’t return it.

The rooms were modern, lovely and very clean, and the owner paid close attention to things. The kitchen could use better equipment, though. I couldn’t find a pan to cook with. 🍳
