Hotel Morini

My friend and I had a fabulous two-week stay in July and plan to come back next year. The location was ideal, within walking distance of Lido di Marangi, restaurants, shops, and supermarkets. We had a great top-floor room with a terrace, looking over the Main Street toward the sea in the distance. The owner Maximo couldn't have been kinder or more helpful.

After all those kilometers walking the Salento Way, we were greeted so warmly by the hotel owner. He brought us two freshly baked rustici, water, and fruit juice, which really lifted our spirits. Breakfast was amazing, and we could even make sandwiches for the walk to Otranto. It was a fantastic experience and such a lovely reminder of Apulian hospitality.

Massimo understands what walkers on the Cammino del Salento need and looked after us from arrival right through to departure. On Christmas Day, when everything was closed, he even drove us a few kilometers in his car to a restaurant he trusts, where we ate wonderfully. In all my years traveling around the world, I've never met anyone quite so special. I'm speechless. Thank you so much. A must-see, in my opinion, for anyone walking the route.

Massimo made our stay on the Salento trail feel special. He greeted us with fresh melon and homemade lemonade, then had fresh sandwiches ready for our walk the next day. He's incredibly friendly and hospitable. The Hotel Morini is centrally located, and our room was clean and beautiful, with a sea view. We were lucky to stay here. THANK YOU!
