Hotel Albatros

We got locked out of our apartment and went to the owners for help. They spent a long time contacting the apartment owner, who came and let us back in. They were incredibly kind and helpful throughout. Thank you so much.

A lovely hotel right by the sea, just steps from Pesculose beach and close to the best beach bars. The rooms are comfortable doubles, and breakfast comes with fresh Italian food and fantastic coffee. The worst hotel of our month travelling around Europe and Italy. We wouldn't recommend it, especially to families. It's at least a 30-minute walk to Pesculose Beach, and being away from the center made getting around harder. The hotel feels very dated and wasn't particularly clean, and the staff seemed unfriendly and unhelpful. Sleep was difficult for several reasons. The beds felt like rocks, the sheets like sandpaper, and staff wheeled carts through the halls early, slamming doors. Breakfast setup meant chairs scraping around, and at 8am the cleaning staff were shouting to each other in a room across the way. The dining area itself felt like an elementary school cafeteria, with nothing special about it. Our room was blazing hot at night, around 85°F / 29°C, because the air conditioning clearly wasn't working. When we asked for help, a staff member came in, said it was working, and left. It wasn't. Our 7-year-old daughter tossed and turned from the heat on the first night; they brought us a fan on the second. If the air conditioning was meant to work, why did we need a fan? We also found a toenail in the bed when we arrived. I told the front desk, but they denied it, said everything was sanitized, and brushed it off without apologizing or trying to make things right. The wifi was almost nonexistent too, so I couldn't get my vacation work done.

The spacious, well-organized parking was a real help, and the location made it easy to get around. Everything was spotless, from our room to the shared areas. The food was one of the best parts, each meal a lovely surprise. Elena and Chiara were so warm, professional, and ready to help, and the owners made us feel welcome from the start. We'll definitely return.
