Mont Blanc Apartments

The apartments are nice and well kept, with a covered garage and a great location for getting to Val Veny and Val Ferret. But there were several drawbacks. We could hear every little noise from the neighbors, the attic bathroom was very low, and the bed was very hard. The pillows were flat and soft, and a couple of extra ones in the closet underneath would have helped. Cooking was nearly impossible because the kitchen lacked equipment, and although a coffee machine was advertised, there wasn’t one. There was no internet either. We don’t want to depend on our phones, but online access would have helped us look up trips and plan what to see the next day. Internet is essential everywhere these days.

The only thing I appreciated was Mrs. Lesnia's kindness. I spent two nights in apartment No. 3, and the service didn’t match the price. The bedroom was hard to heat, and the uncomfortable mattress and very soft pillows made sleeping difficult. The bathroom looked clean, but was truly subpar, with an awkward bathtub curtain and fixtures that felt neither comfortable nor new. Worn furnishings in the living room made it hard to feel at ease. The kitchen was missing basic items, the fridge had no small welcome bottle of water, and there was a bad smell. The sofa and armchair had no covers and were stained, creepy, part 2. Not recommended.

In apartment number 4, the mezzanine was lovely, though you have to watch your head. The shared garage was useful, and access was easy for any driver with a bit of experience. The apartment was charming, well furnished, and well equipped. Its natural wood floors creaked in a way that brought back childhood stays in the countryside at my grandmother's house. A really pleasant experience.

Apartment #3 isn’t recommended. Its only regular window faces an interior storage courtyard; the other windows, in the bedroom and bathroom, are street-level embrasure windows. The bathtub has been turned into a shower with a curtain, which is inconvenient. The one good thing was the parking space in the closed garage.
