B&B Matilde

At night, you can hear crickets and look up at a sky full of stars. This B&B sits in a quiet, peaceful spot among the Pollino mountains, just off the highway. The hostess is very kind and helpful, the rooms are spacious, and breakfast is plentiful. A great stop on a trip to or from Sicily, and a good choice for anyone who loves mountain trekking.

Marianna made us feel at home right away. She was affectionate and generous with her time, helped us settle in, and gave us great advice. Each day she treated us to homemade sweets, local fruit, and good coffee together, along with plenty more. The B&B is surrounded by nature, with lovely views from the balconies in the daytime and a fantastic starry sky at night. Our room was welcoming, clean, and had everything we needed. It was the best choice we could have made, and we hope to return. Thanks again, Marianna.

Marianna is incredibly welcoming and ready to help with anything. Her B&B is charming, clean, and well appointed, with a great breakfast. It’s surrounded by greenery and only a few kilometers from the Grotta del Romito. Highly recommended.

We came back to Marianna after two years. On our first visit, she’d turned us from guests into friends, and that warm, affectionate spirit was still there. The place was peaceful, clean, and comfortable. We’ll return as soon as we can.
