The house and rooms have a lovely classic look, and the place is in a private residence with terraced houses. The owner is a very kind, friendly Russian lady. We stayed on August 2-3 in the room overlooking Mount Etna, at the Sapienza refuge, while the eruption was underway. It was spectacular. There were a few things that need attention. The towels and sheets smelled a little, and the fridge was crammed with the owner's frozen food packages and bags, leaving clutter and hardly any space for our own water bottles or food. Cleaning and dusting could be better. When we came back in the evening or at night, the owner slept on a sofa bed in the entrance hall, apparently to keep an eye on who came and went. We didn't see her when we returned the first evening and were startled. After that, we went upstairs in the dark so as not to disturb her, though she has another apartment in the basement. They ask for a €50 key deposit at check-in and return it at check-out. If things improve, we'll definitely come back.

We only stayed one night, and had asked when booking if we could check in in the morning instead of the afternoon. The owner was very kind and welcomed us without any trouble. The service felt homely, and we had a good night's sleep and breakfast. It's a good stopover or a useful base because it's close to the Etnaland amusement park.

Tatiana welcomed us so warmly and was incredibly kind and hospitable. I stayed one night with my husband and two children. The location is excellent for Etnaland, and both the room and bathroom were spotless. Breakfast had a good variety. She's a fantastic person.

The location is convenient, about 5 minutes from Etnapolis and around 15 from Etnaland. The lady was very kind and helpful, but in my opinion she doesn't know the basic rules for running a B&B. The bathroom was outside the room and shared with the others. It was messy and dirty, with poorly kept, non-white towels, no single-use shower gel or shampoo, an old hairdryer that didn't work properly, and a dirty bathmat unsuitable for showering. The rooms weren't clean or dusted, including the curtains, carpets, and balcony. The sheets weren't white and didn't fit the queen-size sofa bed. The WiFi didn't work. Only one room had air conditioning, and the rooms were crammed with bulky, useless furniture. There were no bedside tables or lamps. Breakfast was poor and served in her kitchen. The milk, served cold in a plastic bag, had expired two months earlier. The only alternative, almond milk, had also expired. Coffee came from a small home coffee maker, and the loose sugar wasn't hygienic. There were packaged biscuits and brioches, and for the children there was plain milk, with no cocoa, barley, or anything else.
