The worst part for us was the family upstairs. They were extremely noisy, walking around at all hours of the night. Maybe we were just unlucky to have them directly above us, because otherwise everything was fine. The owner was friendly and helpful, and the apartment was beautiful and right in the center of Muggia. It was on the first floor and had all the amenities. The kitchen had no blinds, though, so it got much too bright at 5 in the morning.

The welcome was very friendly, and the apartment is in Muggia's old quarter, with the feel of a typical seaside village. Its location also works well for trips to Trieste. There is no parking on site, but paid parking is a 5-10 minute walk away, and it is free in winter until May 31. The furniture is dated but usable. The stairs leading in are narrow and wooden. Inside, the bedroom is spacious, with a double bed and two bunk beds. The large bathroom is practical and has a comfortable shower, though the door is a little low.

Booking was easy, and I slept peacefully despite the apartment being in the old town with its narrow streets. It's a charming place right in the city center, clean and spacious, with excellent mattresses and furnishings. You can also store bicycles securely in the entrance area.

Finding a parking spot nearby was difficult. The apartment itself is small but practical and right in the center of Muggia.

Staying in this typical old Italian house turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Restaurants, cafes, the market, and the beach are all just a few meters away.
