Hotel Dulcinea

A sweet hotel right in the heart of the city, with quality that felt like three stars. Our room was spotless, with a nice bathroom, a good shower, good AC, dark curtains and a TV. The host was really friendly and even served breakfast past the stated hours on both mornings, until 11 instead of 10. The small buffet had fresh pastries, yogurt, muesli, juice, jam and more. Room service was friendly and clean. When reception is closed, you can get a PIN and let yourself in. Public parking across from the hotel costs 7€ per day. I'd happily come back and highly recommend it.

The rooms were clean and the location was decent, but we had a terrible experience with the owner, Mr Fausto. We received a letter accusing us of rude behavior, though we hadn't done anything. When we returned to the Hotel, he came running up to our room and yelled at us because our luggage was open on the floor. He said it was untidy and the cleaning lady “couldn’t work.” I've stayed in many hotels and never had anyone object to that kind of mess. He later tried to apologize by offering a free dinner, but it never happened. Breakfast was horrible too, just a few things bought from the supermarket. We left right away, and there were problems even after checkout.

We stayed at Hotel Dulcinea for three weeks in August 19. Our room, 203, looked out over the harbour, and the lovely staff kept it extremely clean with daily maintenance. They were polite and pleasant. Breakfast didn't have much variety, but it was delicious. The croissants were the best I've tasted, and the coffee was amazing. We nicknamed the owner Mr Happy because he was always smiling.

The owner was incredibly hostile and actively rude to my friends. Before checkout, he woke everyone by screaming that they had to get out. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
