Atlantide

Check-in was simple and fast, thanks to the clear directions and help from the owner, though we never met in person. We were in the Muravera area for a hike and spent one night at Atlantide guesthouse. The room was roomy, spotless, and had a new bathroom, plus air conditioning that’s useful in summer or winter, a small TV, and a refrigerator. There’s a great pizzeria on the next parallel street and several breakfast bars close by. A good choice for hikers in either season.

The kitchen is nearly new, but there aren’t enough dishes, pans, or cooking tools to make preparing a proper meal easy. From what we saw, the rest of the property looks as if it hasn’t had investment in over 25 years. The photos give a sanitized impression, emphasizing wellness, activities, beaches, and similar things, and don’t show the place as it really is. Only the kitchen has been renovated, so we can’t recommend staying here. Be careful booking with Laura Kraus. Your reservation could be confirmed and paid for, yet you might still arrive without a room or be charged twice. Stay away!

The one bright spot was the good meal we had at Green Gallery restaurant. The accommodation itself was terrible for the price. We travelled around Sardinia and stayed in several places, and others at the same rate were in a different league.

My husband and I spent one night in this apartment about a week ago while passing through. We agree with all the negative reviews. Avoid it.
