The house feels even lovelier than it looks in the photos. It’s clean, very well kept, and tastefully furnished by the owner, who was incredibly kind and available for any request. We felt more pampered than we would in a hotel. There’s room for seven, with space for everyone, plus a small backyard and a huge rooftop terrace that’s great for dinners with friends. Towels and bed linen are included, and changed weekly or on request. On arrival, there were some food supplies for the first day, including breakfast and pasta, so we didn’t have to rush to the shops. The owner also had a surprise waiting for us. The village is small, quiet, and charming, with everything needed for a great holiday. Otranto and Laghi Alimini beaches are about a 20-minute drive away. It was lovely to stay somewhere less known instead of the usual tourist spots, while still being close to attractions. There was nothing to fault. Everything was welcoming and magnificent. I recommend it for a peaceful holiday that’s still near places to visit.

We were sorry to leave this superb home, and can’t wait to return. Simona, grazie mille di tutto…! The place is spotless, spacious, and furnished and decorated with real taste. The Lecce stone vaulted ceilings give it an unusual, beautiful character, and the kitchen, bathroom, bedding, and other amenities are all complete and high quality. It felt like home very quickly. There’s a little courtyard off the kitchen, as well as a large, fully equipped rooftop terrace for gatherings or sunbathing. It sits in the historic center of Muro Leccese, close to shops and restaurants, and our car was never more than 10 meters away. Simona is delightful, thoughtful, and always available to her guests. The pantry was already generously stocked when we arrived. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet; the most we heard was church bells from a few streets away. Muro Leccese is a lovely village in Salento’s magical triangle between Maglie, Otranto, and Santa Cesarea. The Alimini lagoons’ beaches are a half-hour drive away, and Lecce is 30 km away. A wonderful choice for anyone who enjoys the “dolce vita,” with time for the sea, good food, cultural visits, or simply relaxing.
