Al Caminetto

The breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruit salad, Italian coffee and more. The hotel is right in the heart of Torbole, with a bus stop directly across the street. Rooms are spacious, and some have a small balcony among the trees. The air conditioning was the one real problem. It often didn’t work, if it worked at all, which was unpleasant in the intense early-August heat. The units are clearly old or poorly maintained, and the staff weren’t very responsive about recognizing and fixing the issue.

We were happy with the hotel and thought the price was good for what we got. Our small double room had a narrow but very comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom with a window. The furnishings were a bit dated, though everything was clean. Breakfast was simple but good. The central location means some noise, mainly from the restaurant across the street rather than the main road. The underground garage is a bit tight and better suited to short cars. Bus stops are very close, there’s a small supermarket diagonally opposite about 200 meters away, and both the beach and ferry terminal are only a few minutes away.

The room was compact, with a double bed and a view of the nearby mountain. I was there for five days in November for the Garda Half Marathon and wanted somewhere to rest after arriving, with good in-room Wi-Fi so I could work, clean floors, bed, toilet and shower, and a reasonable price. Albergo Al Caminetto gave me all of that and more. The floor was clean, the bed was perfect, the water was hot, and the heated towel rail worked properly. The internet was excellent at 50 Mbps, and the room was cleaned daily. Cleanliness matters a lot to me, so I was very happy. I’m grateful to the hotel team and owners. Would I recommend it to family and friends? Absolutely.

Our first visit left us with a great impression. The hotel was very clean and tidy, the owner and staff were kind and attentive, and the rooms were spacious and well laid out. Breakfast was generous and good quality. It feels more like a four-star place than a three-star one. We’d come back on our next holiday. Best wishes.
