Park Hotel Ventus

Very welcoming, helpful team. The room and shower were a good size, though the bed was very soft. There’s a coop nearby, handy if, like me, you forget your narrow plug adapters.

The rooms at Ventus Park look like they may have been renovated recently, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast had a nice range of choices. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when they sorted out a booking mistake for us. Thank you so much!

The rooms and mattresses were good, but breakfast was average and hospitality was zero. There’s a great restaurant next door with excellent stone-oven pizza. Nobody told us the door would be locked for the night or gave us the parking lot password. We eventually worked out how to get into the hotel. On arrival, the unpleasant receptionist sent us to a room behind reception with no balcony or view. When we complained, she went to check and asked, “Did you ask for a balcony?” We hadn’t, but the double room description always includes one. She then checked whether we’d used the toilet, bathroom or towels, saying she would give us the room we’d ordered. After 10 minutes of cursing at the computer, she handed back our keys and said it wasn’t possible, maybe tomorrow, ciao. I expected some kind of apology or a drink voucher. Mistakes happen. We wanted to shower, but there was no hot water. The next day we were moved to the correct room, but it also had no hot water. It only came on during the evening of day two. Hell!

We had a lovely three-day stay and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was incredibly clean, pet friendly, and the staff were so nice. There’s a pool and a big yard as well. Breakfast was amazing, with croissants, muffins, eggs, bacon and freshly squeezed juice. It’s a pleasant four-minute walk to both the city center and the lake. We’d definitely stay here again.
