Breakfast was one of the best parts. We could choose a drink and a main, pick the delivery time, and they brought a basket of spreads and toast. The service was the kindest you could hope for. Don’t let the creepy-looking entrance and lift put you off. We arrived around 11:30pm, and the owner still took the time to explain the room and tell us about the city. On our second night, they kindly brought extra fans because of the hot weather.

A lovely place to stay in a wonderful city, with a host who was generous, warm, and welcoming. 10/10!!!

Patrizia and her philosopher son Piermarco made us feel welcome and looked after us with such care. Patrizia is also a violinist and an amazing pastry chef. Her fresh-from-the-oven sfogliatelle were to die for! We had a wonderful breakfast delivered to our room at whatever time we wanted, and our room was cleaned and tidied every day. Staying here feels like a hotel, but with the bonus of getting to know the people caring for you. The 400-year-old building is a privilege to experience, with beautiful 6-metre-high ceilings and chestnut beams above you as you sleep. You’re a stone’s throw from Caravaggio’s The Seven Works of Mercy (Sette opere di Misericordia). The oldest, most historic, folkloristic part of the city is all around you. The graffiti is part of the charm. Have a wonderful stay in welcoming Napoli!

The apartment rooms had a quirky feel but were still nice, and breakfast was good. Just skip the cappuccino, since what came out was a cafe latte. The host was really welcoming and helpful. From the outside the place looks a bit gritty and could use some attention, but it’s worth looking past the facade.
