Alloggio dei Vassalli, In the Heart of the Historic Center

The location is amazing, just steps from the metro, and the staff were super helpful. Check-in is virtual, but they come down and check you in in person during their posted hours, so plan around those. The decor is dated but nice, the bed was comfortable, and the water was hot. We skipped breakfast, though the area looked cute. The shutters made the room so dark that we slept really well. One thing that could help: a mirror outside the bathroom, so someone can use it while the other person is inside. We also heard quite a bit of noise from mopeds, bikes, and people in the mornings in the outer room where we stayed, so a second door or thicker curtain might help.

We were warmly welcomed at reception by a lovely girl who explained how everything worked and gave us restaurant suggestions. The hotel is in an old house with thick wooden ceiling beams, and there are snacks at reception at any hour, plus 24/7 video surveillance at the main door. Our room had a key safe for valuables. The room smelled lovely and was clean, with a bathroom that suited our one-night stay. The air conditioner cooled it quickly. There was a loggia, one large bed, and a small bed, so all three of us were comfortable for a night in Naples at an affordable price. I can wholeheartedly recommend the hotel.

I had a rough start in Naples and decided straight away to find another hotel. B&B L’Alloggio dei Vassalli was the first result, and after reading a few reviews I booked it. When I messaged on WhatsApp, a real person replied promptly and answered my questions respectfully and warmly. The next morning I went downstairs to check the hotel, which was in the same building as the place I was staying. Miriana greeted me with a smile and explained everything. The entrance felt cozy, inviting, clean, and smelled good. There were thoughtful little details throughout, a small reception area with tea and snacks, and a huge dining room downstairs for breakfast with coffee, tea, and pastries. I booked a business room, if I remember right. It had two single beds on opposite sides, each with its own TV, lots of counter space, and a good-sized bathroom. They even had q-tips, which none of the other 5 hotels I stayed in over 10 days had. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and there was a safe box. After the walkthrough I could leave my bags there before my tour. I was given the keys to the massive wooden doors, 3 ways to enter through the hotel glass door, and another key for my room. It was the best place I stayed during my trip in Italy, and it was very quiet. I felt relaxed and comfortable there. They also offer airport, harbor, or station shuttles upon request, and the city taxes were the lowest I paid on the whole trip. I’ll book with them next time.
